Macro Art Part II

This is a portrait I painted of my brother's girlfriend, Emily.

This is a portrait I painted of my brother, Tyler. He was farther in the background, so his features were obscured to make him appear slightly out of focus...
This shot is of Ty's hands...he is a musician, so any portrait of him should also include his hands. I liked how gestural my marks turned out, this part of the painting is very small and I thought it was cool - zeroing in on the brushstrokes and canvas texture.

The first two photos of the girlfriend are really great. I like how there are two different perspectives--one close up and one farther away.

I like on the last photo how the hands where painted. There is really no detail but the way in which you used the paintbrush to apply strokes give you the exact way that you wanted the hands to be positioned.

I don't know if that really makes sense but it does in my mind. haha.
