After class I drove home and parked my car down the street. I waited for the sun to set and walked over to the dock on Boulder Avenue. As I was about to take a picture a seagull landed on the pillar directly in front of me. It was as if he or she were posing for the shot. I took many photos and it was not until I left that the seagull left too.
The other photo is of a railing and set of stairs that lead from the upper dock to a lower area where people can get into their boats conveniently.

I really like this picture, the way the sun is going down and the seagull is right in the middle. Love it!
The highlight on the railing is really interesting, creating such a different color in regard to the rest of the shot. And I liked your description of the gull waiting for you as you photographed...
