Surreal

sunset

Skelly at the Beach

I took two of my skeleton shots and merged them with two different views of the beach: one which incorporated sand, and the other was only of waves...I played with the opacity and levels and this is what came out!

To end the class, a surreal self-portrait

a little bit of everything

The top two pictures are surreal photos, first with madison beach, and the second one of my cat spencer, mixed in with a apple tree. The bottom photo is a macro picture of Spencer.

jess up in the clouds!

More shots of Skelly

"Hanging out"
I liked the perspective of this shot - how his ribs echo on the ground beneath him. This was taken last Friday afternoon, out on the lawn in front of Aquinas.

"Baby Got Back" ...emphasizing the shadow...
"innocent."
Portrait :)

Surreal Photos

This is my sister and my cat. I think the fur looks really cool around my sister's eyes.

This is my applemoon.

This is a surreal pic that I made of one of my favorite movies. I started with the tornado and layered from there. I think it's pretty cool, as it goes along with the surreal aspect of the film as well.

Just thought this was a cool picture (plus I love neil young). This picture was taken by Danny Clinch who has done many photos of famous musicians.

I took these two pictures of my friend Kamala and blended them with pics I took from google and flicker. I thought the words would be cool because she is a poet, and the flower just reminded me of her.

Seeing purple

I took a picture of my eye a few weeks ago, and I also took a picture of the base that was around the bottom of a tree in Providence. I combined the two pictures, changed the opacity and changed the hue, levels, burned/dodged around the eye and edges. Tada!

sad sad snowman

hes sad because its spring and hes gonna melt.
This is a picture I stole from one of my brother's girlfriend's albums. She's a violinist, so I included the top of a violin (a John Juzek, like the one she plays) in the background. Then I used a watercolor filter to unify the picture.
Tyler's a musician, so I included a piano keyboard and sheet music on his portrait.
I call this one "Parody of Cremation"...the horizontal x-ray is of a healthy chinchilla, the main image is of a chinchilla peeking out of its cage and the other image of flames I took at the All Mansion BBQ on Tuesday...
I had a chinchilla for 12 years; her name was Smogley and I had her cremated in 2005.

Cool Pics!

Nevins helped me take ordinary pics and make them look cool!

portraits

These are portraits of my friend Arlyne. We went to the dock boat ramp near my house the other day when it was really nice out. I really like the first photo, even though it is blurry, because it is so candid.
